Greetings from the President

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Rho Epsilon Omega Chapter website. We are
delighted to share our programs and service initiatives with you.
Since our chartering in 1988, we have remained a dynamic group of college-educated,
professional, forward-thinking women dedicated to upholding the tenets of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. service to all mankind. We remain steadfast in our commitment to uplift and empower our community through meaningful programs and impactful initiatives.
We are committed to creating lasting change in our community. We actively participate
in the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Conference annually, support the food pantry A Place to
Turn with food and essential products, and serve meals at the Pearl Street Café. Each year, we
award college scholarships to high school seniors and graduate students in need. We provide
weekend meals to children experiencing food insecurity. Through the Hoops and Homework
program, we help youth develop leadership skills, empowering the next generation to thrive.
Under the leadership of International President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed, our
Sorority’s 2022–2026 program theme is Soaring to Greater Heights of Service &Sisterhood. This international program focuses on six initiatives designed to enhance the social, economic, and educational well-being of communities locally, nationally, and globally.
